K Cam, and or A Cam, I know people ask cam questions all the time but this is different I swear! 200 1987


That was not my experience with changing from an M-cam to an A-cam. 5 of the 8 shims needed changing. From what I recall, one was too tight while the rest had excessive clearance. The valves had been adjusted correctly a few thousand K before the swap, so this isn't a case of putting a new cam into a mis-adjusted head.

Once it was in and adjusted, it has been a blast. Really woke the car up!
