hesitant 700 1990

have a strange problem, in cold weather with engine warmed up, the engine makes more noise than usual (clicking, clapping, etc.), but more interestingly, when i come to a stop then begin to accelerate again, there is extreme hesitation, engine almost dies, then comes back and accelerates like normal. new spark plugs, new fuel filter, fresh valve adjust. pcv has oil coming from the base, though clean and clear, and pass side under exhaust manifold has a coating of oil. coolant smell normal, no smoke from exhaust. b320ft

thanks in adnvance
