ECode Bulbs, What do you use and how long do they last? 200 1986

Hello,

Inga is running aftermarket ECodes for 10 months now and is into her third set of Bulbs. I do run an external regulator that is set to 14.2 Volts on a cold alternator.

Two sets of Silver Stars Ultra at over $40 each in less that 10 months is not exactly the life span of the bulb I was looking for. It does say the bulbs have a short life span on the back of the box. I am back to running the two bulbs (55 Watt Generic) that came with the lights right now. It is always the low beam (the high beams are hardly ever used) that burns out. On the first set of bulbs the drivers side failed first, and the 2nd set the passengers side went first. So don't think it is related to any contact issues.

What sort of bulbs (Brand and wattage if you know it) do you run in your ECodes and what kind of life are you getting out of them?
