The 1986 had the bad wiring harness, make sure the engine and ignition harnesses are replacements.

They will have different styles of interior -- dash, cluster, seat, door panels, etc. And the seats are structurally different as well, you may find one more comfortable than the other.

One huge advantage of the 1986: it will have quad glass sealed-beam headlights. This makes upgrading to nice e-code lights much simpler and cheaper than what you would go through on the 1990.

1990 will have airbag and ABS.
