The big change to the dash/cluster/door panels came in 1991, not 1990.

In addition to the wiring harness issue mentioned, 1986 would have the old style integrated front hub/bearing as opposed to the newer (and presumably superior) separate hub/bearing. The dashboard is likely more prone to cracking on the 1986 from what I've seen (same style dash though). Those items plus other minor differences (rear headrests added, more modern audio head unit, not sure about automatic transmission upgrades) probably make the 1990 the better bet, but the condition/maintenance history of the car could be the most important factor.
