Knowing Chicago winters under the influence of the Morton family, and taking your ambitious schedule into account, I would suggest the 940 because I would not want the added burden of acquiring the service info and learning the newer dark-side stuff under pressure. I'd use the 940 as long as the salt would permit while searching for a nice, warm-climate 240 to baby when the pressure relents.

I don't miss my front wheel drive experiences one bit. I chuckle to myself when my friend mentions "Rzeppa."
