hi sages- would appreciate your advice on this one. volvo radio cassette in my 92 240 wagon- radio works fine, cassette wont play. took radio out to my radio mechanic. he says cassette will play fine but plastic gear which engages cassette to heads is broken and part not available for alpine in japan who made radio for volvo nor volvo.you wouldnt believe how cheaplymade this plastic gear looks. like toy plastic. have had no luck finding one in junk yards. dont want to convert all my cassettes to cds. are you aware of any sources or any aftermarket amfm radio cassettes which would drop in , probably would need a harness adapter.thanks tons oldduke
