Biting The Bullet 200 1985

My '85 244 died on me today and the warning lights came on. One of the prongs on the fuel pump relay appeared blackened around its base (made me suspect the fuel pump) so I replaced it with a good used one. Car would turn over but still not start. Cam was turning so belt is good. The 25 amp fuse is good. The 26 year old fuel pumps are both original with 226K miles on 'em.

Will probably have it towed to the Volvo dealer, bite the bullet and have both pumps replaced and also the original rotors and calipers which I've been planning to have done soon anyway. It's been quite awhile since I've had to pay any real money to someone else to fix it so I don't feel too bad. Just felt like letting the Board know.

I want to thank everyone for their past and future assistance/insight/knowledge in helping me to keep it running.

Regards,
Dukester
