Intake pcv 120-130

Looking at cleaning up the engine bay a bit, and I really dont like the stock pcv setup running over the valve cover into the intake on the b18. I just bought a new intake that is not tapped in the center for the pcv vacuum source. I was wondering if I were to tap the end nearest the firewall, then hardline that down to the pcv/breather box on the block if that would work the same, being that now all the gasses would likely get pulled in by the last carb, and #3 & 4 cylinders, as opposed to the stock setup that pulls from the center, and eveny distributes the gasses.
