M46 with hard shift into 1st and 2nd after new clutch? 200

Hi all....

I've got an 86 240 sedan with 285M on it.
Note.. The overdrive hasn't worked in 4 years but car has driven fine without it.
(Chose not to spend the $ on a rebuild.)
I was having a lot of difficulty shifting between 1st and 2nd gear.
Had a new clutch kit put in and shifting improved. Now about 6 months later
I'm having the same issues. Car will sometimes go into 1st and 2nd easily other times its almost impossible to get it into these gears.
I'm wondering if this is a sign of internal problems or an adjustment issue with the linkage?
What to do.....
