Rear brakes not bleeding? 200

I replaced the master cylinder on 1987 240DL wagon, brakes are working great again, but thought I'd bleed the whole system to get rid of the old fluid and any air. Just doing a manual bleed in my driveway, no special equipment.

The fronts bled OK, pushed out old, dirty fluid, then bubbles, then new fluid.
When I went to the rears, they would not bleed?? Cracked the fittings open but got nothing, took the nipple completely out and got nothing. The rear calipers are working, the wheels are loose with no brake applied and sieze up when brake is applied. Any ideas?
