1991 240 Changed O2 still have code 212 200

Ok so I had 3 codes 113, 212, 232. I swapped out my oxygen sensor last night and drove down the street and my cel light came on in a few minutes (code is the only one 212). The battery was dead for a week and I did the swap before I put in the new battery so I know the codes were clear.
I came home cleared the code and checked all the connections from the O2 near the firewall and took another test drive and the cel light came back on (code 212 again!) after a minute or so. What can I do to get rid of this code!!!
I really need to get this resolved I cant get her registered until I pass a SMOG test
any help will be greatly appreciated.
