THe last few weeks I've been getting CEL and engine codes 113, 221 and 231.
1-1-3* Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or rich Mixture incorrect; O2S wiring fault High fuel consumption
2-2-1* Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean at part load Lean; air leak; low fuel pressure; bad AMM Engine stops when starting from cold; high fuel use
2-3-1* Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or too rich at part load }If too lean: air leaks, low fuel pressure, bad sensor }Engine stops when starting from cold; high fuel use or
If I reset the codes, I'll be able to drive for 15 or 20 minutes on the highway before it trips again. If I make short trips around town it stays off.
I've checked the signal from the O2 sensor and with a warm engine it appears to cycle between .1 and .7 volts.
I performed a check of the 02 heater resistance. Resistance across the heater connector with a cold engine was approx 3 ohms. After running the car for ~ 1 minute the resistance rose 8 ohms and then began to fall. So I think the heater is workign although I think Art B indicated I should see 13-14 ohms after 1 minute of run.
THe car idles fine and has normal power. Fuel consumption may be a bit high, but I'll need to do a proper test and report back on that.
I replaced the 02 sensor about 25k ago with a universal fit bosch sensor. I soldered and heat shrunk the connections making sure to leave breathing room for the "reference air" whats my next move?
THanks
