oxygen sensor test - on vehicle - single wire test point, but then what 200 1988

I am trying to check the operation of my Oxygen Sensor/Lambdsond.

My literature shows a test connector near the battery. The pink (p) wire is to "Lambdsond test point" the other (bl-w) wire is a "Idle Connector".

If using the Idle Connector the book says be careful not to miss and get the Lambdsond test point because the grounding test for the Idle Connector will damage the Oxygen Sensor.

I have a test point and a book with the specifications (cold=3 ohms, warm=13 ohms).
I have a digital multi-meter.
I don't have a lot of experience with electronics.

So what do connect to what to check the resistance of the oxygen sensor at the 1 (one) wire?
