last ditch effort. codes 231 and 221. 900 1993

so, I posted about this before, but still haven't figured it out.

the engine sets code 231 and 221 about every 200 miles. if I reset the system it drives fine for that time, then sets the code. sometimes the idle will pulse or hunt a bit. I cannot figure out what I am missing. changed the RPM sensor last week, which did nothing to improve the situation.

changed all the vacuum connectors that I could fine. I don't think I have an air leak anywhere, but it is surely still possible with the age of the car.

fuel pressure? o2 sensor? (i think the o2 is about 50,000 miles old).

???

is there anything worse than an intermittent problem?

Sean
