87 760 turbo: new Air Mass: how to adjust when new? 700

HEllo: In troubleshooting my bucking 760 turbo, I purchased a new AMM and installed inside the air filter box.The old one did look dirty and the air mas thermostate wasnt working and I replaced that too. Now the question: I have spent almost 1/2 tank and i've gone about 120 miles. This is less than ideal. About 2 months ago before I starting having troubles, I used to get 150 miles at the half.

Is there a trick to adjusting this new air mass meter to improve gas mileage?
