'76 USA 244 Removing Vacuum Pump on Valve Cover? 200 1976

I have the early odd Vacuum Pump on the B21 valve cover, the accessory air pump is removed, everything related plugged off etc, I assume this vacuum pump is cam driven but havent looked under the valve cover yet.

Im used to 78-79 240s and it seems this pump is useless on this particular car now, any problem removing it and swapping a normal valve cover on? Anyone have any or remember any experience with these early extra vacuum setups?

Thanks for the info if so.
-Jack
