Greetings,
I'm from the other Washington, -Washington State that is..
I've pursued this site for over a year now, while I was waiting for over a year, for a 68-122 Automatic Wagon to become available locally.
I just purchased a 1971 1800, ,4 spd /overdrive, fuel injection, some rocker rust and surface rust on bumpers etc. Interior needs freshened up, needs speed-o cable . I haven't physically picked up the car, but plan restoring to a daily driver, fixing the cancer, relocating a set a bullet mirrors to mid fender., replacing the steering wheel to a banjo style and finally a set of panasport or similar style wheels...
I will be making the final payment & picking it up in a month. My first order to to take it the the local Volvo mechanic , here in Port Townsend, Wa. have him replace or freshen up anything need immediate attention, then set up a 6 month & year check up..
Since I'm a virgin on 1800s but owned several 240 wagons.. could anyone please offer any insights or tip going forward..?
I presently drive a 1941 Chevy pick up ( for sale )
Thank you ,
Jim aka -41-
