Vacuum hose part number 3524376 is 3/8 inch diameter (universal part) 700

I searched around to replace my vacuum hose. Decided to pay for OEM at $29 a meter(!). Turns out the hose is not metric but english measurement of 3/8 inch. I thought I'd share since I spent the big money, only to find out it wasn't necessary...

The hose is thick walled *unlike* the 3/8" fuel line hose IPD sells currently. NBR-CSM refers to the two wall materials: NBR is inside and CSM is outside material. I think second material provides extra protection and also rigidness to keep the hose from collapsing under vacuum.

I found Autozone sells similar hose in pre-cut 2 feet lengths under Prestone label as "Fuel and Emission" hose.

Looking in the FAQ Fuel Injection (you're welcome, I spent a ridiculous 10 minutes to find this in FAQ!), this is the only hose with no cross-reference Volvo part number.

I used this hose to replace the existing one that runs out of the manifold into check valve, then a barb T (tee connector) that leads to inside of car and the other to reservoir tank under front of engine (under splash guard pan) on my 740 Turbo 1986.

Attached to hose is the ATE climate control vacuum check valve known as part 1228272, 680476, and 9485451 (per IPD).

Whew, I think that's it for now-- DaN
