Slow idle and brake fluid loss related? 200 1986

Went to go to work Tues. p.m. warm sunny Car's idle was so nonexistent I thought the fuel pump relay was gone.
Friday I drove to the store and noticed my brakes were mushy, where the day before they were all fat, very little to no play. sure enough got home and the Brake m/c reservoir was dry (replaced it last year new).
So I've been reading about the IAC and it's related electrical gremlins, I read about one case where the cause of his low idle was a bad brake booster.
If the Brake m/c poured its contents into the booster could / would it cause low idle?
I have a spare IAC and a Booster, along with a nasty sinus infection that make bending over a distraction. I can replace the M/C at no cost as it is under a lifetime warranty. Replacing the booster I can coerce my son to do the under the dash work, and I will clean and lube the spare IAC and pretest it from the info I have and wait for some input.
Thanks as always
Paul
