Brake upgrade for a 740 wagon...940?? 700

I have a 740 non turbo and need to change the front brake rotors pads etc. I was at pick n pull and saw the 940 brakes look different. Are they bigger and better.
Will they bolt on to my car. I was thinking to change rotors and calipers.
I saw a nice set on a wrecked 940 and wondered if it is worth upgrading and whats involved. Rears look the same as mine.
