Chasing the oil leak (part 318) 85 245 200 1985

I'm not sure what else there is to change.

The leak seems to find itself on the bracket that bolts to the bottom of the engine and the transmission.

I re-torqued the oil pan bolts to specs, but I'm not sure if this is the location of the leak. It almost seemed like it was from the back of the engine. But I'm fairly certain it's not the RMS because the flywheel is bone dry and there was no oil on the transmission side of the RMS but on the engine side of the RMS. As in, it was behind it, and gravity seems to suggest it is not possible to be the RMS.

I have so far replaced almost every seal imaginable (RMS, three front seals, oil filler cap seal, breather box & O-Ring, and flame-trap, valve cover). I haven't changed the head gasket. But the oil is not bad (other than it was just in need of a change). The leak is the new oil and noticeable. after MAYBE 4 minutes parked on a hill, I had 2 spots on the driveway.

I know that an older car is going to leak, sometimes no matter what you do about it. But I'm not sure what the heck this leak could be originating from anymore.

It might be the oil pan gasket, and even though I tightened it to 8 lbs, it might just be kinked and not fixable.

I've heard rumors of a 3 piece oil pan gasket. Is that something that is true?

I think tomorrow I'm going to get more of that Dye, and check it. Hopefully I can at least get an answer.
