School me on 1800's 1800

Hi all, new here and looking for a mid-60's 1800S project. I'm not new to Volvos - had a high-mileage 244 for years and did all the work myself. But since nothing big ever went wrong, I'm certainly no expert.

I saw the thread here about a 1971 and read the Wikipedia entry, but I want to dig deeper. I don't mean to have people rehash everything for me, but I am looking for more good information sources. Is there a "1800's for Dummies"?

When I go shopping, what are key items that are not easily fixable or obtainable? What are the key rust areas to look for?

Also, is there anyone in Ohio that would let me take a look at theirs? I've never sat in one and don't even know if I would fit.

THANKS!
dave in Ohio

PS Wish I was closer to Whidbey Island. I was there for a big kite festival many years ago. It's beautiful.
