Factory installed roof rack load rating (245) 200 1987

Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone knows what the load rating is on the factory installed silver/chrome painted roof rack on the 1987 240 wagon is? I'm hoping to carry my two new kayaks (combined weight 110 lbs). I'll be supporting the rear end of the kayaks on a Thule goal post hooked up to my trailer hitch, so the total weight on the car should only be 1/2 this. I was hoping to get some foamies, tie those suckers down front and back, and of course put straps around the kayaks to fasten them to the roof rack. Good idea? Or should I just bite the bullet and remove the rack and replace it with a rain-gutter attaching Yakima or Thule model?
