Noise front end 700

I recently had front struts changed by mechanic . He only changed struts (shocks) not the whole assembly. Ever since I have a rattling noise when going over a bump on the driver's side ,like there is something lose in the area in front of steering wheel,instrument cluster,I dont know...I already went back twice to mechanic and he insists everything is ok with struts... I dont know what to do anymore except going to a volvo dealer and have it checked...Does anybody have any ideas of what could be causing the noise?
