pinion oil seal 444-544

I have my motor out.I have also removed the drive shaft.While I have it out I want to replace the pinion oil seal. I open up the work book and within the short time of reading I need 20 different special Volvo tools. Is there any tricks or secretes any one can tell me or should I put the tool down and back away from the car? 1959 544 replacing because you can see the oil sling mark Thanks rick in Ky
