Multiple torque converter failures for an AW70L transmission 700 1991

I know you said the fluid is clean, BUT is the filter clean? If the filter is plugged it can cause, among others, these symptoms. The car drives fine for a few minutes, until the filter picks up a bunch of particles off of the bottom of the pan, then filter plugs up enough to restrict the flow into the pump which starves the transmission/tc/pump for fluid. Let the car sit for a few minutes and all of the crud that's clogging up the filter falls back down to the bottom of the pan allowing you to go for a few more minutes.

Check it out
