Frost plug installation 120-130 1963

I have a mechanic mate and he has never seen the disk type frost plug here. Cup type is far more common and he has replaced many a corroded steel plug with brass. He does have a cooling system pressure testing pump that I will borrow to give me confidence that the brass cup I have installed will handle the pressure. I'm inclined to believe it will because the brass plug had about 0.3mm greater diameter than the hole and was a hard hammering fit. The brass plug will also never corrode.
