'90 740 Shifter linkage adjustment 700

Hi all, so I determined that my 740's problem lies within the linkage. Many bushings are missing, the shifter moves loosely, and none of the gears are in teh right spots, so I ordered the bushing kit from FCP Groton.

Since I have to take apart the linkage to replace the bushings, I need to know how to properly adjust the linkage.

Any help is appreciated on this! I want to get it on the road the same day I get the bushings.

Thanks!

Oh.. and this has the AW71L transmission.
