I was getting close to 40mpg with my tired B20E MS'd 122...35 if I drove it hard. Craig gets 35 to 38mpg on his built B20 with SU carbs. Obviously the SUs are far less hassle and much more simple to diagnose a problem. We were able to tune a ridiculously lean cruise with MS, hence my economy; something that you can't do with SUs. There are pros and cons to both. MS is far more flexible (want to turbo?)and can be finicky. SUs are simple and dead reliable.
