two new waterpumps leaking in the same place - coincidence, or a bigger problem? 900

Some may remember my post recently about my Nissens radiator blowing up. Since then, I've had a bunch of problems, including the headgasket needing replacement. I'm going to be doing this job early next month, when things slow down with work. But now, I've got another problem - both the waterpump I put in shortly before the new radiator AND the one I've just put in to replace it under warranty have been leaking from the same spot - there's a small, irregularly-shaped triangle just under the shaft of the pump (both are Hepu units) and it seems to leak under pressure. I'm wondering if this is a design flaw, or if it's some kind of built-in relief valve. Anyone had a similar experience or any ideas? I've tried several diferent rated pressure caps for the reservoir to see if they may be over-pressurizing the system, but all seem to work just fine. I'm quite frustrated and confused by this point!
