Update - Fixed 200 1992

We had tried banging on this one to get it to start and it was deader than Anna Nicole. Is it common for them to totally crap out like this, or am I special?

Been a while since I've heard her name!

If you have your old one yet, you can try to learn why it quit, or find an automotive electric shop in the yellow pages, and have them tell you, and repair it. With only one Volvo, you might not need a spare, but a common trouble is the solenoid contacts wear to the point they don't consistently complete the circuit. I know of people who beat on their starter with a broom handle for months, on their get-to-the-job commuter car, rather than get a replacement.

Thanks for returning with the outcome, and having a good sense of humor too!
