Lock tight it but the main problem is the alternator sold by Autozone. it is by a company called World Class. we call it 3rd world 2nd class. They are junk and fail very early in their life. We get customers bringing them in for us to install as they have installed one or two and they didn't work out of the box. They think they are doing something wrong and want us to correct the problem. Put a proper Bosch unit on and there are no problems. The 70 amp unit is the unit of choice.
