240DL w/ ~150K miles

Recently, I've been hearing a funny noise. It sounds like the wind is flowing over the car, or (possibly?) through an opening in the car. It seems to be coming from the front end.

It happened the first time a few weeks ago for a few minutes, then went away. Since it was a windy day, I thought it might be related to that, though thought it was strange.

It happened a few times since, including yesterday for a few minutes. So still way to intermittent to diagnose it.

Any ideas what this might be? Or where to start looking?
