installing aftermarket radio into 780

hi all-
i have an aftermarket cd player with an aux input for my ipod that i want to install into my 780 bertone. the wiring setup for this radio is unlike any volvo radio i've dealt with before.

the connector to the right (white) is fed by wires that lead directly inside the back of the radio, and connects to a female connector inside the car. my old 240 had 2 of these, i believe, and a harness with the 2 male connectors were all that were needed to install a new radio.
there is another identical connector as the black one on the left, and they each plug directly into female acceptors on the back of the radio.
my guess is that they connect to the equalizer.
in addition, there are two grounds that bolt directly into the back of the radio, as well as an orange, yellow, and black ground wire that feed back somewhere behind the dash (they are part of the same group of wires that feed into the white plug).
any insights???
