Front brake pad replacement problem - stuck retaining pins 200

Greetings all,

I am currently changing the front pads on my '93 240 w/150K miles. I've read Bentley, Haynes and this board. I performed the following steps:
- jack up car and remove right front wheel
- remove retaining springs
- opened brake fluid res. and retracted calipers
- used punch to knock the retaining pins. I need to hit the pins from the inside of the wheel outwards. It's a little awkward but can't seem to get either pin to budge. I even put a few drops of penetrating oil on the pin. No luck.

Has anyone had a similar problem (and solution, I hope)?

Thanks in advance.

Bill in CT
