ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) 900 1995

I replaced the ECT sensor on the car a few days ago and haven't had a Check Engine light since. I pulled the intake manifold loose a couple inches so I could get a 19mm socket on it (suggested by FAQS). It was not that bad a job. I'm glad I didn't try to change it without pulling the intake manifold loose. I put the bad sensor in water with an ohmmeter hooked up and the continuity went nuts several times as the water temp approached boiling so, I know I have this problem fixed.

I ran through a 20 oz. container of Techron after letting the car sit for a day and the gas gauge got noticably better. I put in a second container of Techron after the first tank with Techron ran out. So, sticky gas gauges are another problem we have to contend with in our ethanol tainted gas besides poorer mileage and several other problems. I suppose just old gas could have made the problem worse also. I have an outboard that I have to run out of gas or I can plan on taking the carb. apart and cleaning the residue out.

Once again, thanks to all for the help.
