Mounts - Engine and tranny 200 1993

After changing the oil trap, I was planning on an oil change, clean up the bottom of the engine, drop in some Auto Rx and see what I get. When I went to change the oil I was having a bear of a time getting the oil filter off.

HEY - why is the motor mount touching the oil filter? Motor mounts!

So I look at the tranny mount also. It is mush from being exposed to oil.

I've done the tranny mount twice before on previous cars. I've read some older posts on the motor mounts.

The question I have is: Do I go for the motor mounts first or the tranny mount? Being as things are catty wampus under the hood which should I attack first. Do the motor mounts being shot make it worse to try the tranny mount?

I plan on doing them before I return the car to the road.

Any insight is appreciated. And yes, I am one of those PO that people get upset at for not being up on PM. I can only plead poverty! Don't let the S60 make you think I've got duckets ... it was used and now has 186,000 on it!
