1990 740 No start after sitting a few days 700

I have a 90 740 8 valve that wont start after the car has sat for a few days other wise if I drive it every day it runs fine & starts up each time. I can get it started after a bit of cranking and it runs rough like its flooded. The car has 306K on it it was tuned up at 300K this has been going on before the 300K service. When it wont start I have no spark from the coil I'm getting about 25 MPG. The fuel pump is cycling when I turn the key
New parts
Fuel pump
fuel pump relay
radio serpresion relay
fuel pressure reg
the crank sensor was replaced about 9 years ago
O2 sensor
coolant temp sensor I think this year 740 only has one?
timmimg belt at 295K
My next step to replace the coil but will the crank sensor being inop result in no spark from the coil and can a coil be bad off and on like that? I did remove the Idle control motor and clean it and it seems the be working could this motor be sticking after sitting a few days? I dont think this year 740 has a ignition module

Thank you
