144S Caburetor Advice 140-160 1971

"SU=" -- There are two brands of side draft carbs founds on Volvos--they both work on the same principles--one is Zenith-Stromberg (the name is cast into the upper dome), and the other is SU (has a taller dome but no obvious brand marking). Generally the SU is considered the preferred of the two but Strombergs will work just fine -- they do require some special tools to adjust the mixture.
"BB'er" -- BrickBoarders
"Where in NC?" -- sorry, I couldn't think of the name offhand--but if you search for carburetor threads you'll find his postings and info in his profile. --Dave
