Bad Ignition Switch....Cause of No-Start? 200 1992

I have been having an intermittent no-start problem in my '92 240. The car never stalls once running, but it will sometimes not restart (in both cold and hot conditions) but then will start and run fine a few hours/few days later.
During no-start the engine cranks fine, and normal dash lights seem to come on.

I have replaced many/most of the obvious culprits.

Today, a light went on (in my head I mean). For the last couple weeks, I have suspected that my ignition switch is going bad. ABS light is on, and sometimes wiggling the key when running will make a couple other dash lights turn on and off (sorry, can't remember which ones). Today, the starter started hanging up.
All these sound like classic symptoms of a bad switch, acc to the 700/900 FAQ.

So I'm wondering...could a bad ignition switch cause the intermittent no start?
I'm going to need to replace the switch anyway, but just wondering if anyone can comment on that.
