Heater blower motor playing up 200 1993

My heater blower motor on my 240 stops working slows down and cuts out no strange noises it runs on all speeds and then stops all together. If the car sits and i come back after a few hours it will work again and then cut out after a few minutes. Is it time for a heater blower motor change or could it be something else, when a blower motor goes bad what are the symptoms.
