high idle/Oxygen sensor question (85-245) 200 1985

My car seems to occasionally have a high idle (2200-3000 when I'm in idle) that lasts for anywhere from 1 minute to 3 minutes, and then goes away. Sometimes it doesn't matter if the engine is warm, or the temp outside.

in fact, just now I was running the engine (to let some engine dye circulate) and 8 minutes into the 10 minute burn, it revved high. Any ideas? A friend says it could be a vacuum leak, but I can't seem to locate it. Could it be the air mass?

Also, I had just installed a new ox-sensor on my 85-245 too. The original one (I assume it's original) had 233K on it. I thought that if you unplugged it as the car was running, it would make a difference in how the engine runs. but I unplugged mine (as it was running) and it made no difference whatsoever. I didn't check the voltage yet though.

Oy...I hope I figure out what is the location of my oil leak now. I thought I solved it, but it seems to have returned. rakka frakka...
