740 no over drive 700

Been a while since Ive posted, cause nothing has broke till now.

My 740 wagon 8v 250+ on it has lost the over drive again. Last time it was a relay, the big white one. In reading some sites with others having the same problem, The arrow is on all the time and the button on the gear shift isnt working. I was wondering if someone could help me out here.

1 how do I read the and test the points on the relay to now if its good, I have a meter

2 is there another one in the cluster that I could swap to see if this one is bad

3 where would one find the celonid for the over drive, and how wold I check it to see if its bad
