Check that plug in the firewall or... 200

this will happen. Even in sunny california.

You can see the Dentyne gum package under the floor board laying on the ground.
The rust ate at the seem which connects the rear of the drivers seat mount to the floorboard. Spent the whole day running a hose over the car and looking for more rust. Just tiny spots of rust and no other leaks.

The plug i'm talking about is an inch to the right of the hood-opener hole in the driver's side foot-well firewall, if facing toward the steering wheel.

There's no way the PO didn't know about it... But since this was my first car -which he knew! I didn't know to look and he didn't bother to tell.

I noticed the hole shortly after buying the car 5 years ago. Choose foolishly to ignore it. But after reading enough threads I decided to rip everything out and take a looksy.

Time to hit up pick and pull, dig out the sawsall, and get me a new floorboard. :)
I know, I know. I'm not giving up on this car til the wheels fall off. Or somebody comes careening into me... Which ever happens first.

Thought I'd share. Plug that hole!
