Dumb-ness (probably the dumbest) 900 1994

Short story to show my dumb-ness.

Airing the tires with my portable pump plugged into the wife's 940 accessory port (cig). For some reason it blows a fuse.

Checked the fuses ..#14 if I recall was blown ..the one for the radio along with the cig lighter. No fuses in glove-box ...no problem ! Volvo always has spares on the sides of the panel, and an extra four up setting up front horizontally.

Pull the 15 amp from one of the front holders ..replaced # 14 ...now I have lighter, but no radio.

What is going on?

To shorten it all ..I then realize that the 15 I thought was a spare up front ..was actually the live fuse for the radio. But to top that off I THEN realized I had pulled another 15 from that same front horizontal row ...well over a year ago .. thinking it also was a spare.

Well ..it wasn't. It was the fuse for the ABS ..and I had been trying for over a year to figure out what was wrong with the ABS light being on ..with no luck.

What DUMB-ness ...pulling a live fuse ..and that TWICE ..thinking I reaching for a spare.

I bet no one can beat that!
