Dash Board 140-160

I am well advanced with the removal of my old dashboard but I have now run into an impass!! Could I have advice please as to how the wiper/ washer control is removed from the dash. The button pulls twice to give 2 speeds, and rotates, just a little, clockwise to start the washer motor. It has a 6 sided shaft which a 1/4 inch spanner fits. Discovering how the buttons come off is a real intellectual exercise, I have failed the test with this one!! Could someone help please
