240 acceleration problem

I've recently purchased a low-mileage 1991 240 sedan, and it's having trouble accelerating from a stop (or near stop) when the engine is warm. It doesn't appear to be a problem when the engine is cold, and the idle is fine overall albeit a bit rough. It doesn't die, and it does fine when it gets up to speed. But the initial acceleration is very labored. I'll appreciate any feedback on just what might be the issue.

Thanks in advance.
