Help! Gardner Needs Car 200

I transitioned to Jeep Cherokees, made from the stone age to 2001, dead bang reliable, the engines will go 300k easily with proper maintenance, the autoboxes are AW-4 units and are just as robust as the AW-70/71 used in the 200 series bricks.

My '98 sport feels just like a 245 only with 4wd. It has better get up and go plus the advantages of 4wd in winter (and on trails). Plus it has all the room if not more in the back as my 245s had. The wife also has one and loves it when she's not driving her Miata.

They're probably the closest thing you're going to find as far as price, size, durability goes in a newer used car, and in most areas prices are reasonable.

Good luck whatever you decide.
