Electrical problem no start 1992 740 t 700

not stating.. changed the RPM sensor car turns over but getting strange things happening... car cranks but the speedometer goes to 50 miles an hour.. Changed RPM sensor but seems like a ground problem.... I think.... Anyone have any experience with strange behavior... Could point to ground location or rely ect..

Help please.... Should I reset ECU.... 700/900 FAQ did not seem to help with trouble shooting...
